Superdrug Online Doctors, a UK pharmacy, has created a project called "Our Perception of Perfection". To create it, 18 specialists from different countries who are excellent at Photoshop were invited. They were given the task of reflecting the standards of female beauty of the inhabitants of 18 countries. For this purpose they were allowed to use photos from Shutterstock. The aim of the project was to show that the female figure cannot be fitted to a single standard of beauty. Each nation has its own idea, which in some cases may not coincide with the classic proportions.
Of the 18 designers - 14 were women and only four were men. The designers were given an image of a woman with an ideal figure. They had to transform this female figure so that the size of her waist, shoulders, breasts, hips, length of legs, hair color and other details fully met the beauty standards of this or that country, nation, people.
The results were impressive. Beauty standards in some countries almost completely coincided with the classical ones. In the inhabitants of China and Italy, one can notice thin arms and legs. In some Latin American countries, designers gave traditional voluptuous standards by reducing waist size, increasing breast size and making hips more rounded.
