Composition of Jessner's peel first proposed by the American Dr. Max Jessner: salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol. 14%. The solution is a balanced combination of ingredients, which in contact with the skin do not give any side effects, unlike, for example, peeling with TCA, which can form scars. Not only that, the effect of Jessner peel rejuvenates the skin, gives it a fresh, healthy look and gets rid of many problems.

Cosmetology in St. Petersburg is represented by exceptionally competent specialists who provide the widest range of services in the field of aesthetic medicine and cosmetology. The list of services includes a variety of procedures to rejuvenate facial skin, get rid of skin defects and, of course, to correct your figure. All procedures are carried out on certified equipment, created by world famous manufacturers of medical equipment. For chemical peels only those substances that really work on the skin are used.

Lactic acid softens the upper layer of the epidermis, restoring the Natural moisturizing factor, promotes the growth of new cells of the basal layer and the increase of collagen fibers. Salicylic acidResorcinol, the best sebum remover, deeply cleanses pores, removing inflammation. Resorcinol, having a powerful antiseptic action, destroys harmful bacteria. In combination with other types of peels - glycolic acid and retinoids - Jessner peeling can effectively combat pigmentation, acne scars (postacne), signs of aging, broken capillaries. Skin cells are renewed, the cell cycle returns to normal, and new collagen fibers are formed. This makes the skin more elastic and firm, it acquires a fresh, radiant look.

Three types of Jessner peels

Jessner peeling is divided into three types according to depth:
Lightweightwhen 1 layer is applied to the skin.
Mediumwhen the composition is applied in 2-3 layers. Such peels are also called "lactime" peels.
At deep peel 4 to 6 layers of the compound are applied. The skin becomes red, then darkens, covered with a brown crust. Healing lasts up to 30 days. In deep Jessner peeling, local anesthesia is usually applied.
It should be noted that no matter how deep the Jessner peel is, the composition lies on the skin evenly, which is difficult to achieve from peeling with TCA. This contributes to a calm recovery process.

Indications for use:

Jessner's Peel can be used as a deep exfoliation, but not as often as glycolic acid.
- People aged 20-30 years - not more often than once every 2-3 months.
- From 30 to 40 years old - can be used once every 1 to 2 months. Provided you apply one layer and stay on the skin for no more than one minute.
- For those over 40, exfoliating treatments with Jessner peels should be used consistently, at least once a month. Until the wrinkle accumulation areas stop flaking after each application. A break of 3 months should then be taken. However, exfoliation with glycolic acid should be continued.

The use of Jessner peeling to remove pigmentation, scars, red spots should be carried out by professionals. Such procedures are carried out for 1 to 3 months, depending on the problem being solved. For pigmentation, for example, Jessner peeling should be combined with retinoids or glycolic acid. When removing scars and post-acne can be used simultaneously three compositions: Jessner peel, glycolic acid and retinoids. After such procedures, a long recovery of the skin is required.

Contraindications to use:

1. Peels should not be performed on skin with open inflammation or on skin with infectious diseases.
2. Peels should not be performed during or after taking Roaccutane for 6 months.
3. Peels should not be performed in case of serious skin diseases or after serious cosmetic procedures, as well as after surgical operations.
4. Peels should not be performed on sensitive skin, as well as with various allergies.
5. Prior to peels, to reduce the risk of side effects, you should eliminate the feeling of tightness with restorative skin care by introducing exfoliating treatments into your skin care regimen.
6. People suffering from diabetes, varicose veins, high blood pressure should consult a doctor before the procedures.
7. People with swarthy skin should definitely run tests before starting peeling procedures.

Preparation for the Jessner Peel:

1. Before Jessner peeling, it is necessary to lower the pH of the skin by performing daily, within a week, exfoliating procedures with glycolic acid cleansers, pH not lower than 3.5. Creams should not be used. Usually with such skin preparation the recovery period is less noticeable, the skin is not very red and less flaky.
2. Peeling should be applied on cleansed skin. Never use soap as a cleanser. It is better to clean the skin with cosmetics with low pH4.5-5.5.
3. Do not apply any moisturizing creams before treating the skin with the composition.
4. Before peeling, a special test should be carried out. Apply the composition to a small area of skin on the face, for example, under the ear, and leave for 1 minute. Wash off. Look at the reaction. If the skin is reddened, then it is necessary to abandon the peeling and continue preparatory procedures with glycolic acid. If redness appeared and quickly passed or there was no redness, then you can proceed to peeling procedures.
5. Apply petroleum jelly to the most sensitive points on the face: near the outer corners of the eyes, on the corners of the lips and where the nostrils join the face.
6. It is better to apply the composition with a special brush. The brush should not be natural. It should be shaped like a fan. And there should be two brushes: with long bristles for large areas of skin, and with short bristles - for small areas of skin.
Tassel View:
You can also apply the solution with cotton swabs, but they should have a wide, soft and thick tip, not ear cleaning swabs (Q-tips). Professionals soak a special gauze mask with eye slits in it with the solution and then apply it to the skin. Or they apply the solution to dry gauze, which is first placed on the face. The main thing is not to apply the solution with hands, otherwise the fingertips will go numb.
In other words, you should use application tools that are not time-consuming, are easy to apply and cover a large surface area at once. After all, every second counts when applying the compound.
7. It is better to pour the composition into a small glass container.
8. Apply the composition evenly, using quick movements in the following directions: forehead, temples, bridge of the nose, under-eye area, cheeks, upper lip area, chin.
Application scheme:

9. Avoid contact with the eyes. Therefore, it is better to use a smaller brush to apply the product to the bridge of the nose, temples, eye area and upper lip. If the product gets on the lips, they will peel off.
10. If the composition accidentally gets into the eyes, stop the procedure and rinse the eyes well with cold running water.
11. Keep on the skin for no more than 30 seconds to 1 minute. But it is not necessary to time it. If you feel strong burning, redness or other discomfort, it is better to wash off the composition without waiting for the end of the scheduled time. This is especially important for those who do this procedure for the first time.
12. Wash off the composition with cold water. Lightly blot dry the skin and apply moisturizer. You can use an oily base oil like sesame oil or macadamia oil. But it is better to apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly.
13. Only for those who know and know how! For beginners or those who have severe burning and redness on the skin, it is better to refrain from applying the second composition immediately after the first. But if after the first composition of discomfort is not felt, then before applying Vaseline blot the skin, apply another composition, for example, cream with retinoids or peeling with glycolic acid to 30%. Hold depending on the condition of the skin. Keep in mind, the longer you keep it on, the longer the recovery process will be.
14. During the recovery process, special attention should be paid to moisturizing. Use petroleum jelly for 5 to 10 days, depending on the depth of peeling. The less the skin comes into contact with water, the better. You can cleanse the skin with base oils. Then you can apply decorative cosmetics.
15. After peeling, your skin will be sore, tight and impossible to touch. It hurts. Therefore, after peeling, treat the skin gently, carefully, apply cosmetics with an oily layer, so that dry fingers do not rub against the skin. You will be in a lot of pain.
16. Actively protect the skin from the sun for 2-3 weeks.
17. In between Jessner peels, lactic acid to 50% can be used as an exfoliant, leaving it on the skin for no longer than 10-20 seconds.
18. Store the composition in a cool place. The lid must be well closed. Shake before use.

Conducting process Jessner peel must be meticulously organized. Everything necessary should be at hand. It is better to peel in a place where there is running water.
