Hair removal. Which method to use?

Not more than 100 years have passed since women began to purposely get rid of unwanted hair. And since then, dozens of removal methods and technologies have emerged. Which of these methods is better, easier, more convenient?

Everything, of course, depends on the degree of your willingness to fight with unwanted vegetation on the face and body, as well as the location of this very "unwanted vegetation".

There are two main methods of removal: depilation and epilation (the latter includes electro-, laser hair removal, etc.).

What is depilation?

Depilation is shaving and plucking, methods in which only the outer part of the hair is removed and the hair follicle (root) is left untouched. Shaving is used for large areas (such as the bikini area or legs) and pulling is used for spot removal.

The benefits of depilation include:

1. Simplicity and relative painlessness of the method. When shaving there are no painful sensations, when pulling out - the pain is insignificant. Everyone can bear such a procedure.

2. Low cost. In fact, depilation can be done at home, using improvised means. No costs and no need to go to the beauty salon if you do not want to go to the beauty salon.

The disadvantages of depilation, alas, much more than advantages. And the most important of them is the low efficiency of the method. Without destroying the follicle, just pulling the hair, you get rid of it for a few days. In a week or two you will have to resort to shaving or pulling again.

There are also different side effects: when shaving, for example, as the hair is just cut off, it starts to grow even faster. Many people note that after the first shave, the hair on the legs becomes darker and tougher, and you have to remove them more often. With pulling is also not all good: after such a procedure, follicles and tissues around can become inflamed, which will lead to the fact that the hair will "ingrow".

What is waxing?

This method is based on the destruction of the hair follicle. In this case, it disappears completely or is severely damaged. In order for the hair to start growing again in the treated area, it will take much longer than after depilation.

There are many options for hair removal. Electrodepilation, for example, gives the result for several weeks. The effect of laser hair removal lasts much longer. Several years after treatment, the hair will not grow on the problem area of the skin.

Waxing has one important advantage - high efficiency. It is possible to remove hair, if not once and for all, then for a long time. If you choose neodymium laser hair removal, you can forget about facial or body hair.

Of course, to achieve the result, you will have to try hard. In particular, electroepilation is a rather painful procedure, which is quite difficult to endure. Especially if we are talking about problem areas (for example, the bikini area). Laser hair removal is painless, except for a slight burning sensation, but in order to get the result, you will need to spend more than one session. In addition, this method is unlikely to be suitable for large areas: legs with the laser to clean from vegetation will be much more difficult and longer. The same applies to the bikini area.

What to use?

Both methods have a right to exist. In both cases, you can count on certain benefits. It can only be noted that at the moment the most effective and painless way to remove hair is the treatment with a special laser. But it takes a long time and costs relatively expensive.
